Why location matters for your roof

Our working area covers very different landscapes. Fermanagh is low-lying lakeland with a lot of water and woodland, so roofs there tend to stay damp and pick up moss and algae quickly. Tyrone ranges from the open uplands of the Sperrins in the north to the gentler, more sheltered countryside of the east around Dungannon. Homes on exposed hillsides catch wind-driven rain and often show lichen, while houses tucked into valleys or among trees tend to grow thick moss on the shaded slope.

The type of housing changes too. Town centres such as Omagh, Enniskillen and Strabane have older terraces and period homes, many with slate roofs that should not be walked on. Around the towns there are estates of concrete-tiled semi-detached and detached houses, and right across the countryside there are one-off bungalows and dormer homes with large, visible roof slopes. Our air-pole method suits all of these, because it removes moss from ground level or a ladder rather than from the roof itself.

Across the border, Monaghan Town has a similar mix of older town houses and newer estates, and the same damp climate. We travel there regularly from Omagh, so homeowners in Monaghan can expect the same method, the same written quotes and the same tidy finish as anywhere else in our area.

How we plan visits

Being based in Omagh means we are roughly central to the whole area. We group jobs in the same part of the county together where we can, which keeps travel sensible and helps us fit your work in. When you get in touch, let us know your postcode or village so we can plan the visit, and send a few photos of your roof if possible. We work Monday to Saturday, 9am to 6pm, and every quote is free and in writing.
